Bunco List & Schedule

Each member will be responsible to hostess when it is her turn on the list. Of course, you can switch with someone on the list if it is a bad month for you. You are responsible for knowing when it is your turn by referring to the list. We have 30 members, so you will hostess about once every 2+ years. The hostess is responsible for the food served during the evening – usually, some appetizers & dessert plus, the snacks (salty & sweet) for the tables. In addition, hostess will have a “Drink of the Night”. Hostess has her hands full with food & set-up, so members should BYOB if they care to drink something else.
Game tables & Bunco materials are passed from hostess to the next. Bunco babes should make sure it is complete when passing it on to the next, or let the person know what is needed, so will be prepared for next time. Please, do not use the last sheet/score card of something before making copies, and don’t forget the “Winner Envelopes” get collected after distributing the winnings for the next month.
Schedule:
January – No Bunco due to winding down from holidays & New Year’s Eve parties
February thru May – Normal Schedule, 1st Fri of the month
June – No Bunco ??due to busy end of school year scheds – could be new tradition to have Block Party Fundraiser Bunco
July – 2nd Thurs of the month – to avoid 4th of July celebration conflicts
August – 3rd or 4th Thurs of the month – after Block Party & toward end of month b/c…
September – No Bunco due to Labor Day & Back to School chaos
October thru December - Normal Schedule, 1st Fri of the month
Reminder:
December Bunco, we have our traditional “Yankee Swap”, “Grab Bag”, or some call it “Bitch” game. Everyone coming brings a Christmas (Holiday Season) themed gift (approx $35 value) which will be put in a pile for all of us to fight over. We will not play Bunco, so the lucky hostess does not have to set up game tables, but she will still have to scheme, fight & claw for the gift of her fancy like the rest of us. (Don’t be afraid…be VERY afraid- Ha!) No Scrooges or Grinches allowed! In addition, we have a Cookie Swap that night for those who wish to participate.
